Gil is a seasoned executive and business leader, whose work and experience has transcended functional roles, industries, and corporate cultures.
His prior executive appointments include CEO of Paycard USA, CIO of Morlin Group, CFO of Granite Financial Partners, CFO of World Travel Holdings, Inc., and CFO of IC Realtime, LLC. As the principal of Leverage Business Strategy, he has been providing independent consulting, change management and business advisory services to client companies, executives and investors since 2002.
His expertise in the areas of corporate finance, mergers, acquisitions, and strategic planning, allow him to help clients develop business plans, formulate and execute growth strategies, achieve profitability targets, and add to their market value. Clients typically request that he serve as an external advisor or active member of the C-level team, with a focus on profit maximization, operations management and transactions.
Gil is known for being heavily involved in various community organizations and philanthropic endeavors. His restaurant was a committed sponsor and generous contributor to many charitable causes. He is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, where he is a member at the Trustee level and has also been recognized as the recipient of the Chamber’s Business Leadership award.
He was appointed by the City Commission to the Economic Development Council and continues to serve as Treasurer of the Organizing Committee for the Coral Springs Festival of the Arts. He combines business development initiatives and philanthropy by serving as a member of the Management Committee and Treasurer of the Parkland-Coral Springs Business Group.
Gil was born in Geneva, Switzerland. He spent his childhood in Israel before moving with his parents to Montreal, Canada, where he completed his high school and university education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Statistical Sciences at Western University (London) and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from McMaster University (Hamilton). In 1996, he accepted a corporate transfer to the United States. As a result of his migratory background, Gil has acquired four citizenships and speaks 5 languages.
In his personal life, Gil is a frequent and adventurous traveler, a workout fanatic and aspiring golfer. Having grown up in Canada, he is an avid skier and snowboarder. He lives with his wife, Tracy, and two kids, Carling and Steele, who are 12 months apart and to whom he refers as “twins without a discount”.
